The striker's brace against FC Krasnodar continued his great form and convinced the judging panel
Rodrigo Moreno was the worthy winner of the UEFA Europa League's Player Of The Week award for his efforts against FC Krasnodar, chosen ahead of Pedro (Chelsea FC), Ismaïla Sarr (Stade Rennais FC) and Trapp (Eintracht Frankfurt).
The striker was on song twice against the Russian side in the first leg of the Last 16 tie, continuing his strong scoring form.
Speaking after the game, the forward commented that “Regardless of the result, there are still 90 minutes to go. 2-1 isn't as good as 2-0, but we managed to get an away goal. It's a positive result; this side had come into the game off eliminating Bayer Leverkusen. We had a good first half, and a not so good second half.”
With his brace against FC Krasnodar, Rodrigo is now on 11 goals for the season in all competitions.
