The Galician striker forced a penalty and fought for every ball but didn’t get rewarded with the goal
Santi Mina completed 100 LaLiga games with Valencia CF this Saturday at Mestalla against Real Valladolid, in a match in which he started and fought for every ball as if it was the last. In the second half he was the protagonist of the action of the penalty that, in the end did not count on the scoreboard. He was replaced with an ovation in the 79th minute by Gameiro.
The Galician striker, who is celebrating his fourth season in the Club, has scored 24 goals with Valencia CF in the First Division, 4 goals in the 2015-16 campaign, 6 in the 2016-17, 12 in the last 2017-18 and two in the current season, a brace achieved in the victory at home to Rayo Vallecano 3-0.
At 23 years of age, Santi Mina brings together a total of 121 official matches with Valencia CF in the First Division with the following numbers: 8 Champions League matches and 2 goals, 13 Copa del Rey matches and 6 goals and 2 of Europa League (3 goals). He places 111th in the ranking of players with most matches in the league, very close to Roberto Soldado and Inocencio Bertolí (101), Pedja Mijatovic and Pablo Rodríguez with 104 and former and current goalkeeper coach José Manuel Ochotorena with 105 encounters.
