Kang In's LaLiga debut for Valencia CF did not go unnoticed in his native South Korea, as he featured in Sunday's newspapers in the Asian country.
The teenager, aged 17 years and 327 days when he was brought on against Real Valladolid, is now the youngest player from overseas to make a first league appearance for the club.He is also the youngest South Korean player to feature in a European league competition, overtaking Nam Tae-hee -who debuted for Valenciennes FC in Ligue 1 in 2009.
Kang In is the fifth South Korean to play in LaLiga, following in the footsteps of Lee Chun-soo (Real Sociedad), Lee Ho-jin (Racing de Santander), Park Chu-yong (RC Celta) and Kim Young-gyu (Almería), and his career has been covered in publications such as 'The Korea Herald.'
